We deliver outsourced business-to-business content strategies, information development, and technical documentation to clients who are involved in the hi-tech, software, and pharmaceutical industries. We support our clients to improve the usability of their products, enhance training outcomes, and increase operational efficiency through a range of knowledge transfer mediums such as training material, e-learning content, technical guides, user manuals, and online help.

The Position

We are looking for a well organised Team Leader with a proven track record in project management and experience leading a dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the management team, which is focused on ambitious business growth, and will be expected to take ownership for their area of responsibility. They will be responsible for the delivery of key projects, on time and within budget, while meeting the high-quality expectations of TWi clients.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a variety of projects ranging in scale and complexity, work independently, coordinate with clients, and report to senior management. Effective client relationship management skills will be critical to success, as will line management and development of team members.

Tasks



  • Manage assigned projects (internal and external), ensuring deliverables produced are of high standard and delivered in a timely manner
  • Control project schedules and budgets, maximising efficiency
  • Establish and maintain good communication channels with clients
  • Provide clear, regular status reporting to internal and external project stakeholders
  • Develop and manage a strong, cohesive team with an open communication culture
  • Mentor and develop line reports
  • Set and monitor clear team and project goals, delegating appropriate tasks and agreeing deadlines
  • Establish quality controls within each project (internal and external)
  • Contribute to capacity planning and load balancing across the Service Delivery team
  • Assist in maintaining ISO certification and promoting continuous process improvement
Requirements



  • A third-level qualification
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • At least two years’ practical experience in a coordination or team lead role
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently, with minimal guidance
  • Strong presentation, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Strong client management and negotiation skills, with a focus on client satisfaction
  • Ability to build and coordinate highly productive teams from diverse disciplines, cultures, and organisations
  • Strong planning and organisational skills – can allocate time and resources appropriately even when faced with multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Good leadership and motivational skills, can act as role model for the team
  • Commitment to driving quality and continuous process improvement
  • Ability to rapidly identify key issues in complex scenarios and overcome obstacles
  • Sound judgement
  • Good conflict resolution skills
  • Weekly presence in the Cork office
  • Ability to travel to client sites on a regular basis
Desirable



  • Recognised project management qualification coupled with large and small project experience
  • Practical experience of working in a technical writing/e-learning/instructional design environment
  • Good understanding of documentation concepts and best practices, including information design and structuring principles
