Cpl Healthcare are delighted to have partnered with Children's Health Ireland to recruit for Paediatric Consultants in Emergency Care across their multiple sites.

Successful candidates will join the cross-city department of Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) to support the delivery of care at one of the existing children’s hospitals and the Paediatric Outpatients and Urgent Care Centre at CHI at Connolly. Upon completion of the new children's hospital all existing sites will merge and become one Emergency Department supported by two Urgent Care centres. As a consultant, you will then rotate between the new main (52 bed) Emergency Department and one of the Paediatric Outpatients and Urgent Care Centres at Connolly or Tallaght.

Your role will involve leading a multi-disciplinary clinical team, delivering care to patients with emergent or urgent care needs as part of a highly responsive service. The role will include regular on call commitments to the emergency department.

To be considered eligible for the role the following qualifications and experience are required:

- Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical

Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of

emergency medicine

AND

- Two years postgraduate training and experience in related paediatric specialties

of which one year must be full time in paediatric emergency medicine.

OR

- Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical

Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of

paediatrics

AND

- Two years postgraduate training and experience in related emergency specialties

of which at least one year must be full time in paediatric emergency medicine

- You must be registered as a specialist in the relevant specialty within 180 days of the day

of interview and before taking up appointment.

-Clinical fellowship in paediatric emergency medicine, national or international is highly

desirable

- Significant experience in clinical practice in delivery of acute unscheduled care desirable

- Experience of developing, applying and reviewing an evidence-based approach to decision making
